AVS/AEN

Another throwback to the old school, AVS (Adult Verification System) sites required the surfer to verify their age using a credit card in exchange for a password that allowed them to view thousands of sites. AVS is now referrred to as AEN (Adult Entertainment Network), due to Visa regulations that forbid the use of credit cards as age verification. The basic principle remains the same though. For example, don't use spam as a promotional tool. It'll only make people angry at you, and your sponsor will cancel your affiliate account and you'll forfeit your earnings. Use reasonable ethics and common sense when promoting adult material online. There are enough cheaters and scoundrels out there that give the adult industry a bad name. Don't become one of them.
